Day off of diving. Went to West Bay, like Veradero, but w/ more ‘YEA BUDDIES’ and lizards. Lots of beaten up coral. Half Moon Bay offers more life for the snorkeler. Big barracudas. Yellow-tailed damselfish (juveniles). Eels. Squid. Trumpetfish. Jawfish. Lionfish in the open. Arrow Crabs. But most impressively, an octopus that I followed around for 15 minutes while it tried to shoo me...

Woke up to cat v. dog fight. Huevos. Honduran children crawling on white ladies. Resident trunk fish on snorkel. Bandinidas. Scuba! Turtles, Queen Angelfish, barrel sponges, so much ocean marine life and okay buoyancy. 57’ for 57 minutes w/ our Adrien Brody dive master. Samson the cat just kneaded me and now we are having fish and rice.

Dive 1 - November 1st, 2012
Yesterday I did my first ocean Scuba dive. I didn’t complete my requisite tasks, as my dry suit had a leak and my leg went a little numb but I saw starfish (several), baby nudibranchs, one giant nudibranch with orange spikes, lots of jellies and an octopus in a den. The visibility was approximately 10ft, cloud overhead and we went about 30ft. Need to work on my buoyancy so I don’t roll...
